Winter Warmer Herbal Tea: This tea stokes your inner heat and a healthy immune response. If heat is the last thing you need more of right now, it will keep well through the fall and winter, and can also be enjoyed iced. Ingredients are organic: Rooibos, cinnamon, cacao, orange peel, licorice, ginger. 16 oz jar is $9.
Heartfire Therapeutics Hand Salve: This salve softens hard working hands and frayed cuticles, and hugs your skin with a layer of long-lasting moisture anywhere else you may need it. Use sparingly on your face to avoid chapping from long days in the sun or harsh winter winds. Keep the jar in a cool dark location to maximize shelf life. Essential oil blends for hand salves (using only high quality essential oils from Mountain Rose Herbs and Florihana):
Triple tree salve: cedar, spruce, douglas fir.
Deep breath salve: Eucalyptus, peppermint, clove (you may want to avoid using this one directly on your face if you have sensitive skin).
Lavender: yep, just straight up lavender.
Plain and simple: No essential oils, though this one has a nice hint of chocolate from the cocoa butter.
HeartFire Therapeutics Lip Balms:
The simplest way to bring some aromatherapy to any moment of the day, and keep your lips kissable. Lanolin is especially effective in arid climates and will keep that protective layer lasting longer in sun, water, and wind. Ingredients are organic: Beeswax, coconut oil, shea and cocoa butters, lanolin, essential oils- see options below. These are also available with or without a subtle shimmer (those with shimmer have a tiny pinch of mica in them, and look darker in the tube than they do on your face. 0.15 oz tube (standard lip balm size) is $3.
